A new Release
We are delighted to announce the first of a set of new beta releases of the much updated presentation ‘video’ to show potential donors, your Club, or simply to view on your PC. This revised edition has been re-written, and is again narrated by international author, Ken Follett. It reflects how ROI has developed over the last year.
The film clip, narrated by Sir John Major, showing how Joseph regained his sight remains. More information on world blindness is included in the introductory section.
The final section has been re-written to reflect the significance of how we can make your donation work harder as a make blindness history matching grant project, supported by The Rotary Foundation (TRF).
Access to the 'show' - File size: 19.72mbs
1. Either open up www.roisight.org and hit the 'video' reference hyperlink on the Home Page, or hit this link
2. When asked whether you wish to open or save, please save the file. In doing so, please add the extension .zip (dotzip) to the filename.
3. Double click on the file name to open the zipped file. In folder tasks hit 'Extract all files' to activate the zip extraction wizard.
4. Now click the unzipped folder and hit the PowerPoint folder called ROIvideo08 with notes. This will launch PowerPoint and the file.
5. When in PowerPoint, hit 'Slide show + View Show' on the toolbar ... and don't forget to switch your speakers on.
6. To stop the show press the escape (Esc) button.
If you wish to view or print individual slides or narration notes, just point your mouse at the relevant slide
Currently slide numbers are shown for ease of reference. These will be deleted in the production model.
Other versions coming soon
This current version of the ‘video’, available to download here, is only available in PowerPoint format. In the next month we will release other editions in various resolutions to cater for those with limited web access, as well as those who prefer a higher resolution of the film sequence.
In the Summer we will release high, medium and low resolution Windows Media Player (WMV) versions.
